Account Executive/Business Development Executive

Location : East Coast USA

Job Description

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
  • Help in managing financial statements and dashboards
  • Assist in creating and filing all necessary tax and financial forms for the company
  • Assist in creating License order forms and Renewals.
  • Verify receipts, income tax returns, financial statements, ledgers, and other documents pertaining to finances within the organization
  • Maintain and update the status of accounts receivables and payables
  • Assist in preparing financial documents for the government, the organization or other governing bodies
  • Inspect account books and accounting systems to keep up to date.
  • Organize and maintain financial records.
  • Enter transactions and reconcile account balances.
  • Prepare accurate work papers, schedules, and reconciliations for audit purposes.
  • Send invoices to accounts and follow up on pending invoices.
  • Responsible to receive and verify bills and requisitions for goods and services
  • Participate in the monthly close process
  • Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
  • Perform account analysis and required actions to ensure accuracy of the general ledger
  • Prepare and assist in review of monthly balance sheet and income statement trend and variance analysis
  • Work directly with the owners & CPA providing weekly/monthly financial reporting and year end tax preparation.
  • Assist in the documentation of new and existing processes
  • Ensure the accuracy of data and adherence of the ERP system to GAAP Principles
  • Participate in special projects, as needed
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
  • Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Manage clerical and administrative tasks for the office.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an accounting-related field
Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of relevant tax laws in accordance with the Bureau of Labor Statistics
  • Experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) accounting such as tracking and reporting Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) and professional services and billing
  • Preparing and managing annual reports
  • Payroll accounting experience
  • QuickBooks software experience strongly preferred
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in a small company or mid-size company preferred
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Experience in Google Sheets, Docs, Slides or MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
